Another way to type in Italian, is to go to control panel and add Italian, then you will be able to switch between 2 or more languages with alt+shift.

    Apple/Mac Users

    Acute accent - type 'option' + 8
and then release the keys and type the vocal that you want
    E.g.
Atars perché non ci lasci in pace?
    é= [option]+[8] and then e

    Grave accent - type 'option' + 9
and then release the keys and type the vocal that you want
    E.g.
    Atars è un rompiscatole.
    è= [option]+[9] and then e

To make it an harry (internet teaches ) the italians often use only the grave accent in this way:

Grazie Atars, adesso ho capito.

fist, hi all! My name is Andrea, i'm from Brescia, italy! ^^
    now..
"Vallo a capire" is kinda hard to translate.. i make u an exemple:

Marco was angry and he broke the computer.. ... ..

leterally it means "go to understand him" but we use is to say "i don't understand why someone has done/said something"

tell me if u don't understand plz ^^
    bye

Hi, I'm Evelien, I'm from Holland (Roosendaal, but I don't think anyone here would know where that is )

Andrea thanks for the explanation, I understand.
I found that sentence 'vallo a capire' in a song and I couldn't really think of a proper translation so I asked here.
The way you explained it do you think it fits in the lyrics?
(I know what the rest means by the way)

In my opinion, yes, it fits in the lyrics
“If cats looked like frogs we'd realize what nasty, cruel little bastards they are. Style. That's what people remember.” ― Terry Pratchett.

It can even mean something like "it's very hard to understand"
In that text that is probably the best way to translate it, so it's "And it's very hard to understand if there's still a place for us in this world"

    Doesn't it fit?

I think it does, thank you.

    where does 'vallo' come from?
is it just specific for this expression?

Mmm how can i explain this... it's like a way to fuse "vai" (go) to a singular object/sobject (in the song, the idea of a place just for them) expressed by the reinforced "llo", a contraction of "quello". So it's like "vai [a capire] quello" = [vallo a capire].
It's like if you would fuse, in english, "go" and "it".
The "llo" it's used in a lot of imperative forms, like for example "do it!" that is translated in "fallo!" (fai +quello= fallo) "give it!" that is transated in "Dallo!" (dai + quello).
    We call it "particella pronominale".
I hope i was clear enough...
