A letter from my conscience (and he's cynical!)

Just a little bit of background on this song I wrote...
My brother and I were talking about life and how it can be a nightmare (he's a marine, he knows for fact). At one point I said "Sometimes life just feels like a bad dream that you can't wake yourself up from". I thought about it alot, and all these thoughts came to my head, things I felt were wrong but slowly it wore me down to the point where I realized life really is a bad dream. These are the "truths" my mind spoke to me....


There's no coincidence in your consequence
No consolation for second best
No prayers that god can comprehend
No way to burn the evidence

Set a crash course for consciousness
Get your head out of the clouds
So you can see us falling down
