Hi!
Well, I'm new around here. Logical, if I wasn't I wouldn't open this topic. x)
Anyway, I'm Dutch, 15 years old and in 5th of Havo (comparitable to Hauptschule in Germany). My name is officially Iris, but seeing practically no one from other countries than Holland can pronounce it the right way, and practically 50% of all girls here are called Iris (alright, 45% (A)), I call myself Yuni. ^^
I can speak English, Dutch and German, and I can translate into or from those too. ^^ Perhaps that's helpful around here. x)
Well, my biggest passion lies with music, music, and everything around it. I'm kind of known as the hyperactive little singer (though I'm 1.77 cm _O_).
I happen to know a lot of songs by lyrics and title, especially from 2000 to now (though I'm trying to expand my knowledge by listening to 90's. ^^ Which is really cool =DD)
I also write out the lyrics myslef, mostly, I don't really trust the 'official' sites (-has seen a LOT of mistakes in these >.<-).
Well, more information needed? Ask me! ^^
xX Yuni

the first love is gone ... am waiting for the last one!! -
Haha, yeah, that's true. ^^
I have to say, translating into Dutch or English is my strongest area, German gets a bit harder. x)
Though I can translate fróm. I was talking to some German guy last week, and he said to me:
Oh, Ich find dein Deutsch so süss!
Well, not exactly what I wanted to sound like. _O_ x) -

Hello and welcome Yunii! I like both names, and I have cousin whose name is Iris, so I have to ask: How do you pronounce it? I say it like "Ayris" or German "ein" (I mean the first "I"), but of course I pronounce it in U.S. English
Iris is also my favorite flower. And I suspect that this site all-the-lyrics (ATL) will become your new "second home", so here's a little "house-warming" gift for you... 2 varieties of Siberian Iris:

Oh, thank you, that's so sweet! =D
You pronounce my name, errr.. like Eeris (with a 'french' r), the real Dutch pronounciation.
Funny, actualy, when the same name is being pronounced so differently in different countries. Like, in France they pronounce it lik Eereez, (very annoying, if you ask me. >.<), and in Italy they say Eeres (a little less annoying. :roll.

Thanks, I often wonder about Dutch pronunciations. I wish I could hear your language spoken more often, but in the USA the opportunities are so limited
... mostly Spanish and French, and occasionally German, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Russian, and my best friend here is Polish ... but I hear Dutch or related languages very rarely. I am so deprived!!!
I like French, but I understand about that annoyance factorHaving problems with vertigo for 2-3 days ... it's temporary, a mild case and it will pass, but for now I can't stay on the computer as much as normal :-/ ... -
Welcome Yuni
