i really don't remember the verses, just the vague chorus, but what you sent sure has the "feel" of it...

I have another song which has a very similar line in it's lyrics.
It is Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac from the 60s I think

The pair of lines in Oh Well goes like this,

Don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

It's a great number with a strong bass line and a cow bell occassionally
