Hello, w126jep! I read your translation of He's Able... I had never heard it that way; seems like the the second line is a little hard to sing. It needs a 2-syllable word instead of "El"... my opinion.
Here is how I've heard the chorus:

El puede, El puede
Yo se que Cristo puede
Yo se que Cristo puede salvarme a mi

I don't know who translated that; that's how I grew up singing it.

I've always sang it that way within my church. I'm not sure where the translation came from. To me, it would seem that putting «Cristo» in there would actally add too many syllables.
