You can say "shi4 de", "zhen4 de a", "shi4 a", "zhen4 de"... depends on what you respond yes to.

For negatives u need a full sentence.

I think I'll just say shiiiii

You can't, lol.... THat means "it is"... But Chinese hate to use one word, so they drag an "ah" at the end... = "shì a!" (= shi4 a; a has no tone lol... you choose how to say it )
