before having the knowledge,
we became full of ideas.
we became the bullets in a gun
that a pair of hands hold somewhere.

Before owning pens,
we girded ourselves with swords
Instead of living and making others live
we both died and became killers

we have eyes but
as long as we don´t want to see
we have hearts, but as long as we don´t feel...

pluma? that's weird. to me, pen is a lapicero, in school they teach it as boligrafo (i don't use it), but i've never heard pluma before.

Yeah, I grew up calling it a "pluma" myself. This is also the word for "feather" so you can probably figure that it may have come from "quill"... you know from the old fashioned quill and ink? I may be wrong but it makes sense to me!

I also use boligrafo but pluma is more common to me... in my little corner of the world.

feather in english has the synonym plume or plumage
