H&M - "they call me...."

Okay, been looking all day for this. Plays periodically in my local H&M. I'm desperate.

Genre: Beat, techno/dance like song but without heavy UNS UNS UNS club sound, LOL. Possibly weird rock song?

Main part of the song is male and pretty much indecipherable due to it being so high-pitched - vocals of main guy sound similar to MGMT's "Electric Feel" or Of Montreal's "Wicked Wisdom"

When the chorus comes up, a second male voice comes in, it sounds like it's sampled from a much older song - sounds very Johnnny Cash-ish...deep, country like and he sings the line, "They call me....(?)"

I think the rest of the line MIGHT be, "They call me the breeze, I keep blowing down the road" which is a song from JJ Cale and Lynrd Skynrd, but searches for remixes of those songs have been fruitless.

"They call me the breeze, I keep blowing down the road" is in fact originally from a Johnny Cash song called "Call me the breeze". Hope this helps!

"Call Me the Breeze" was written and first done by JJ Cale. 1970.

It was remixed with Eric Clapton at one point.

Also with Leon Russell, Then Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash

Keep checking YouTube and it's bound to pop up evenyually. There are dozens of remixes of this song, but haven't heard the Techno version yet. Sounds interesting.

It's definitely got a cool, funky vibe to it...it's not classic rock or country sounding until that one lyric comes in.

Well, Johnny Cash did a cover of it, at least, so it might be him in the song.

I FINALLY figured out this song after hearing it a couple more times and quickly scribbling down lyrics

It's from a cd that came out in January - Johnny Cash Remixed and the song is called "Doin My Time (The Heavy Remix)"
