Default Through which jagged teeth show

A glass display of broken wings
memories of the lullabies you sing
we only hope that the morning will bring on pastel skies
    comprised of the richest hues
    driving slowly down unknown avenues
our cigaretts light our way through this desolate town

Street signs and stop lights down
we no longer hear the sounds
of voices and traffic surrounding us with warmer feelings.

Through fiery eyes she sits and stares
but I can see right through this smirk you wear
each time youre caught in passing headlights' glare, a masquerade
As silence fills this empty car
we follow white lines until we dont know where we are
tonight the sky's been robbed of all it's stars, a past life

    These days keep rearranging
    The tides are always changing
but some things they never change
and now every day looks the same
and now I have nowhere to go
this is far worse than you will know
but you hide behind a smile through which jagged teeth show

So, let down this masquerade and show your face
As house lights fade, you're on display for everyone to see.

Is there some significance to that satement? Fecetious?

So, if anyone would like to comment with some sort of feedback, it would be greatly appreciated.
