Please someone tell me if I translated right this beautiful (yet tragical one) song - so many greek songs are like this (sad and tragic) but I like them becuase they are so thrilling and real... real and strong feelings...

Elli Kokkinou ,,Leksi pros leksi" ,,Word for word"

Mi mu les gia mia zoi
Don’t tell me for a life

    Pu pote den eho di
    Whom I’v never seen

Mi mu les gia mia kardia
Don’t tell me for a heart

    Pu pote den eho vri
    Whom I’v never found

    Mi mu les gia onira
Don’t tell me for the dreams

    Pu pote den dialeksa
    That I never chose

Mi mu les pos im' ego
Don’t tell me how am I (now)

    Afti pu allaksa
    That girl who have changed.

    Leksi pros leksi
    Word for word

    I zoi mas itan psema
    Our life was a lie

    Ena mpuketo apo pliges
    A bouquet made of wounds

    Pu stazun ema
    That are dripping blood

    Leksi pros leksi
    Word for word

    Ginan ola afta pu provlepsa
All that I foresaw was coming true

    Ke ti zoi mu oli
    And all my life

    Dihos logo ksodepsa
    Without meaning I wasted.

Mi mu les gia mia psihi
Don’t tell me for a soul

    Pu pote den diavasa
    Whom I’v never read (understand)

Mi mu les pos is' edo
Don’t tell me how are you here

    Ma de se logariasa
Cause for me you are unheeded

    Mi mu les gia shedia
    Don’t tell me for plans

    Svistikan ta kapsame
They were quashed, we burned them

Mi mu les to telos mas
Don’t tell me about our (story) end

    Pro keru to grapsame
Ahead of time we fixed it.

Excuse me if I didn't write the lyrics in greek alphabet, I can but I had so little time... and is still difficult to me to do this.

    Hey very nice job!

    Only in these sentence:

Mi mu les pos is' edo
Don’t tell me how are you here

Although your translation is right, there is an alternative also.

Mi mu les pos is' edo
Don't tell me that you are here.

It depends if the greek word "pos" (πως) has an accent (πώς - so it translates "how") or is simple without accent (πως - so it translates "that").

Besides this, very good! (i haven't noticed anything else). Hope I didn't confused you.

    Hi!

Thank you very much for the response and for that correction. I'm glad to find that I made a nice job. I like very much greek language and the music even more. But I have still a lot to learn . If I had more time for this...

    Thank you again
