    ================================
    Koja gora, Ivo

Koja gora, Ivo, koja gora, Ivane,
Koja gora, brate Ivo, razgovora nema

    Velebite, Ivo, Velebite, Ivane,
    Velebite, brate Ivo, razgovora nema

    Velebite, sestro, Velebite, sestrice,
    Velebite, sestro mila, razgovora nema

Vran planina, sejo, vran planina, sestrice,
Vran planina, sestro Maro, razgovora nema

Prođe Pavle, Ivo, prođe Pavle, Ivane,
Prođe Pavle brate Ivo, pa je razgovara

I provede, Ivo, i provede, Ivane,
I provede, brate Ivo, konja malenoga

I na konju, Ivo, i na konju, Ivane,
I na konju, brate Ivo, brata ranjenoga

    Which forest, Ivo

Which forest, Ivo, which forest, Ivan
Which forest, brother Ivo, there isn't talk

    Velebit, Ivo, Velebit, Ivan,
Velebit, brother Ivo, there isn't talk

    Velebit, sister, Velebit, little sister,
Velebit, dear sister, there isn't talk

Black mountain, sister, black mountain, little sister,
Black mountain, sister Mara, there isn't talk

Pavle passed, Ivo, Pavle passed, Ivan,
Pavle passed brother Ivo, so he talks to her

And takes, Ivo, and takes, Ivan,
And takes, brother Ivo, a little horse with him

And on the horse, Ivo, and on the horse, Ivan,
And on the horse, brother Ivo, stricken brother!

I hope you will understand it! "Velebit" is a mountain; Ivo, Ivan, Pavle, Mara are names

Vran planina is in translation something like black mountain, but that is actually the name - Vran mountain, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9IlgTnjk9Y

    razgovora nema - no talking
    brata ranjenoga - wounded brother

In Serbia or Montenegro we would say:

"Puno hvala Gago, za tvoj povest. Moj stari dedo je tu pesmu uvjek peval. Mislin da ta pesma je bila od drugoga svetska rata"

Hvala puno Gago za tvoju povest (povjest). Moj stari ded/deda/dedo je uvek pevao tu pesmu/pjesmu. Mislim da je ta pesma (potiče) iz Drugog svetskog rata.

    Default Thanks ina

Excuse my bad grammar. My mother was from Banja Luka and my father from Northern Dalmacija. We settled in Amerika when I was 4 years old. We also mixed up the Serbian and Primorski Chakovian languages at home.

I found this. You asked for this song?

    Kajo moja Kajo

    Kajo moja, Kajo
    Rumena ružice
    Ja zbog tebe moja Kajo
    Dopa do tamnice

    U gorici Kajo
    Sazrilo je grožđe
    A na meni moja Kajo
    Zarđalo gvožđe

    Prodaj moja Kajo
    Vinograd i grožđe
    A sa mojih ruku skidaj
    Zarđalo gvožđe

    Prodaj kuću Kajo
    Plati advokata
    A otvaraj meni Kajo
    Od tamnice vrata

    Kaja, my Kaja

    Kaja, my Kaja
    my red rose ("ruddy rose")
    Because of you, Kaja
I've been put behind the bars
("I ended up in prison / the dungeon")

    In a small forest, Kaja
    grapes have ripened
    But I, my Kaja,
    (put) in rusty irons

    Sell, my Kaja
    the vineyard and grapes
    and take off rusty irons
    from my hands (arms)

    Sell the house, Kaja
    and pay an advocate
and open the door to me, Kaja
    the door of the dungeon

    Default Pjevaj mi Pjevaj Sokole

Pjevaj mi pjevaj, pjevaj sokole Would anyone translate to English this beautiful song from Lika ??

    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, pjevaj sokole
    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, šalaj sokole

Ko što si sinoć, sinoć pjevao
    Pod moje drage šalaj prozorom

    Moja je draga zaspala
    Moja je mila draga zaspala
    Šalaj zaspala

Studen joj kamen, kamen pod glavom
Ja sam ga izmako i svoju ruku podmako

    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, sokole
    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, pjevaj sokole
    Šalaj sokole

    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, pjevaj sokole
    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, šalaj sokole

Sing, sing to me, my falcon
Sing, sing to me, shalay, falcon

Ko što si sinoć, sinoć pjevao
    Pod moje drage šalaj prozorom

Like you sang the night before
Under the window of my beloved

    Moja je draga zaspala
    Moja je mila draga zaspala
    Šalaj zaspala

My beloved one has fell asleep
My dear beloved one fell asleep
    Shalay asleep

Studen joj kamen, kamen pod glavom
Ja sam ga izmako i svoju ruku podmako

Icy feels she the stone, the stone beneath her head
I have removed it and put my arm instead of it

    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, sokole
    Pjevaj mi pjevaj, pjevaj sokole
    Šalaj sokole
Shalay is light motive of the shalay song, it's part of a refrain or lyrics. It's hard to explain what it means.
Soko ( Sokol) is the old-fashioned name for a young, brave, nobel man.
