Song about a Pyromaniac

Heard it only late at night Radio stations usually driving home out of Boston. mid to late 70's ?? " Fire in the night....can't remember the words too well. Very haunting tune....Any takers on this one?

The closest 1970's pyro song I can think of is "Type 0 Negative" by Black Sabbath.

This may be completely obvious and you may have checked it out already, but based on what you said, Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple comes to mind. The line Fire in the Sky could be what you were thinking of maybe...

I had the same exact question and you couldn't have described the song more perfectly. I found it! It's called "The City Sleeps" by MC 900 Ft Jesus. Now we can all sleep, and so can the next person in two years.
