    Default Seeking help on translation

    Hi folks,

    Please help me tranlation following Spanish lyrics to English;

    La Paloma

    Yo soy;
    la paloma errante que vino aqui;
    en busca de un triste nido que yo perdi.
    Si a tu ventana llega una paloma;
    Tratala con cariņo que es mi persona.
    ---
    Ay Chinita que si;
    Ay que dame tu amor;
    Ay que vente conmigo chinita adonde vivo yo.
    Ay chinita que si;
    Ay que dame tu amor;
    tienes que volver tu conmigo chinita
    Pues yo no se olvidar.

    Thanks in advance.

    La Paloma
    The Dove

    Yo soy;
    I am
    la paloma errante que vino aqui;
    the drifting dove that came here
    en busca de un triste nido que yo perdi.
    seeking for a sad nest that I lost
    Si a tu ventana llega una paloma;
    If a dove arrives at your window
    Tratala con cariņo que es mi persona.
    Treat her kindly for she is my persona
    ---
    Ay Chinita que si;
    Oh, little girl, yes
    Ay que dame tu amor;
    Oh, give me your love
    Ay que vente conmigo chinita adonde vivo yo.
    Oh, come with me little girl, to where I live
    Ay chinita que si;
    Ay que dame tu amor;
    tienes que volver tu conmigo chinita
    yuo have to come back with me little girl
    Pues yo no se olvidar.
    because I don't know how to forget

    What does it mean "my persona"? Whether "she is me"?

    Ay Chinita que si;
    Oh, little girl, yes
    In Spanish dictionary "Chinita"="Chinese girl"

    Ay que dame tu amor;
    Oh, give me your love
    Whether dame="da+me"? Its means "to give her"?

    Ay que vente conmigo chinita adonde vivo yo.
    Oh, come with me little girl, to where I live
    What is the tense of the verb "vente"? I know it comes from venir=to come. Thanks.

    tienes que volver tu conmigo chinita
    yuo have to come back with me little girl
    volver - to come back (Infinitivo)
    ???

    Pues yo no se olvidar.
    because I don't know how to forget
    olvida - to forget (Infinitivo) ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Why not a Spanish girl? Spanish girls are quite nice and beautiful. Hehehe.... This is a Spanish song.
