writing letters are common between arabic and persian except 4 letters (گ ژ پ چ) that r in persian letters but not in arabic. another common thing are lot of words that imported from arabic to persian. but grammer and syntax of persian are quitly deferent from arabic. in other words arabic and persian are two distinc languages

    Indo-European

The most well known of all language families is the Indo-European, which comprises roughly 12 major groups and hundreds of languages. The major groups or subfamilies are Celtic, Italic (including Romance), Baltic, Slavic, Germanic, Anatolian, Greek, Indic, Iranian, Tocharian, Albanian, and Armenian. In addition, it appears that Baltic and Slavic should form a larger Balto-Slavic group, and Indic and Iranian should be placed in an Indo-Iranian group.

Here's small list of words common to most Indo-European languages:
    Group Language Lexicon
"father" "mother" "brother" "two" "three" "four" "horse"
Germanic Old English fęder modor brošor twa thrie feowre eoh
Italic Latin pater mater frater duos tres quattuor equus
Celtic Old Irish athair mathair brathir do tri ceathair ech
Hellenic Greek pater meter phrater 1 duos tri tetra hippos
Indic Sanskrit pitar matar bhratar dva trayas chatvari asva
Iranian Avestan pitar matar bratar dwa trayo chatvaro aspa
Slavic Russian otech matka brat dva tri chetyre loshaa (kon)
Armenian Armenian hayr erku erek' cork'
Tocharian Tocharian B pacer macer procer wi trai s'twer yakwe
Proto-Indo-European *pəter *mater *bhrater *duwos *treyes *kwetores *ek'wos
    Persian currently "Pedar"/"Madar"/Baradar"/"do"/se/chahar/
    English daughter persa dokhtare

    Note:
    1. Greek phrater means "clan member"

The Armenian translations of "father, mother, brother, two, three, four, and horse" are as follows: hayr, mayr, aper, yergoo, yerek, chors, tsi"

I just thought I'd clarifiy a bit Nothing major.

One correction, Avestan is an Iranic language while Sanskrit is an Indo-Aryan (Indic) language.

India was never part of Aryana. As for Aryan, Aryan is synonymous with Indo-European.

آ - a (pronounced ah but I don't write it that way, as it can be confused for a-h)
ا - If it's at the beginning of the word, it depends on the word, but it will always be a, o, e, ee, or oo. If it is in the middle of the word, it is the same as آ
    ب - b
    پ - p
    ت - t
    ث - s
    ج - j
    چ - ch
    ح - h
    خ - kh
    د - d
    ذ - z
    ر - r
    ز - z
    ژ - zh
    س - s
    ش - sh
    ص - s
    ض - z
    ط - t
    ظ - z
ع - ' if in middle of the word. a, e, or o if that the beginning of the word.
    غ - gh
    ف - f
    ق - q
    ک - k
    گ - g
    ل - l
    م - m
    ن - n
و - v or oo, depending on the word.
    ه - h
ی - y or ee, depending on the word.

I'm not a native speaker, so feel free to correct, those of you who are.

I am sorry for all this question but i hope you will find time for that .
I'll just answer all of them that I can...

    1) They are there, but they are not written. خیلی ممنون is pronounced khaylee mamnoon. The ی in the خیلی is a bit of an exception from the pronunciations I put up before.

    2) Yes, hamza is used occasionaly.

    3) See above post.

As always, real Farsi speakers, correct as needed.
