Google Translate

I have been reading some of the translations on this forum. Google offers a very good translation and I wondered if that is a good place to start:

In any translation, word-for-word is usually very awkward and sometimes the meaning is lost. It is interesting however, to see the different scenarios that are described in Russian or Ukraine language but translate as very unusual in English.

I am pleased to help if needed, to provide alternative and perhaps more 'English' translations if necessary (based on the translation by forum members or from Google). I understand that sometimes true meaning will be lost but the words will be acceptable in English and hopefully, close to the original intention of the lyrics or words.

uhm. no, i really doubt google translator's quality... of course, i've tried using it to translate texts from and to other languages (i tested the translator with languages i know) and it was a complete disaster.
