Then what is gege analog of "do te shkojne" and "do te shkoje"?

I also read that q sounds like very soft t, and gj like soft d. Is it true?

And r sound, in songs it is often pronounced as rolled r, like in Russian or Serbian, while on TV programs it sounds something like English r. Why is that? How do you really pronounce r?
Well if you have a very good Albanian accent, then r is not rolled because in Albanian we have 2 r's in the alphabet 1 that's just R and RR which is rolled.

do te shkojne = jan tuj shku

and q is not like a vert soft t, its like a Ch sound like i said, except it is pronounced a bit differently, and GJ is like the j in jogging, because albanian G is like the g in games and albanian J is like the y in yes

and some singers have better accents than others, sometimes, singers from south have very 'balkan' sounding accents, but if u heard for example albanian television hosts from albania speak on television they usually have very good accents

*btw my gheg is not very good because i am a tosk speaker, i am just trying to use examples i understand to help you understand the differences, in most cases this is why i do not translate songs in gheg because i do not want to mislead anyone if this is the dialect they are learning in

and yeah, that between Ivena and Gabriela really happened becuz of Shpat's song lol, actually artists from ARA music often sing originally Albanian songs.I can mention: Alisia - Burzaj bavno/Adelina Ismajli - Shko n`r.s; Alisia - Cherno kafe/Shpat Kasapi - Pa ty s`jetoj;Ivena -Neshto malko,cherno/Shpat Kasapi - Do te fal nje rruze;Kati - Kato luskavo ferari/Bleona Qerreti - Une jam pure shqiptare;Stefani - Izdaj me/Big mama - Jo jo nuk te dua... and probably many others

I'd also like to ask if the surname Đogani/Gjogani is really Albanian?
are you talking about this person:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%90ogani

    Đorđe Ðogani

it says in albanian his name is apparently "hamit gjogaj" this sounds more albanian than "gjogani" but still, i do not think this is an albanian surname..

this is poetic, some terms were difficult to translate

Korab Shaqiri - Bie shi // it's raining

bie shi ne ket qytet // it is raining in this city
une per ty seq u ndjeva all // i have been missing you
eci i rruges fill i vet // walking along this road all alone
diqka shpriti po me kap // something catches my soul

i vetmuar t`kerkoj n`ket nat // lonesome, i search for you, in this night
ishte von nje gjeth i that // it was late, something strange
paska ren ne tok // has fell on the ground
eshte shi apo bor // is it rain or snow

i vetmuar sa nje pa vend // lonesome, like a person without a place
mallin tim askujt s`ja them // i won't tell anyone of my longing
jo askujt s`ja them // no i won't tell anyone
ne mes zjarr sa deshte // you wanted to be in between fire
pastja me ike // and then you left me
s’ti kuptova kurr syt e si // i could never understand your eyes or how
ndoshta s’ke harruar // perhaps you haven't forgotten
puthjen ton te nxeht // our heated kiss
ne ket streh kur binte shi // in this bed, when it would rain

tej pertej me shpon kjo nat // all around this night pierces me
dikush thot njeri pa fat // one may say, a person without fate (about him)
bota s`eshte e sinqert // the world is not sincere
fare nuk e ka dert. // it doesn't feel pain (of others)

te kerkoj ku je // i look for you where are you
vetem ti nuk je n`ket qytet me shi // your the only one who's not here in this city of rain
gjithqka m`duket e ftoht // everything seems cold to me
ku me je une t`kerkoj // where do i have you, i'm looking for you
kur une jam pa ty // when i am without you
dhe nuk dua t`besoj se nuk kthehesh ti // i don't want to believe that you are not coming back

ne ket nat te lagur me shi // in this night wet with rain
dhe nuk dua t`besoj // and i don't want to believe
se nuk kthehesh n`ket stin // that you are not coming back in this season
se nuk kthehesh n`Prishtin. // that you are not coming back to Prishtina

Yup,not only about Gjole but also his brother Gazmen(Gagi).Actually Gagi is part of my fave Serbian group Funky G and I heard he and his brother are Albanian gypsies. But their surnames really didn't sound neither to me like Albanian, they sound more like gypsy-Albanian in fact lol

Lol, they should not call themselves "albanian" then when they are not : P
plus when they sing in serbian or bulgarian and not in albanian, maybe they just know how to speak albanian also

Oops, in the song there was a misprint, "s’ti kuptova kurr syt e si" should be "s’ti kuptova kurr syt e zi", that is "i could never understand your black eyes" =)

    Default Moj Shehideee (:

NRG Band - Shehide, i know no one asked for the translation but i was just listening to it and realy like it and everyone in Kosove was singing it this summer, if anyone knows Cima and Leci the humorist's, well they first came up with this song.
(btw. Shehide is a taditional/old albanian name, its my grandma's name too :P )

Eeeeev oj Shehide o kaj me lote ae man n'men o kur lujshim me tope
heyyyyy oh Shehide cry with tears, do you remember when we played (with the) ball
o a man ne men o kur lujshim me tope o gjujshim shtagen o ne kallamoq ee...
oh do you remember when we played with the ball, and we'd throw sticks into the corn field

Oj Shehide kaj me lot a man mend kur lujshim me top?
oh Shehide cry with tears, do you remember when we played ball
me top t'kuq me top tllastikut neper arat e mixha sadikut
with the red ball, the plastic ball, through the fields of Uncle Sadik
Mixha sadiku po bertet iku shehidja dhe u mshef
Uncle Sadik is yelling, Shehidja ran and hide
lyp shedide me ku o hup
look for Shehidja where did she hide (lit. get lost to)?
Kur ajo ish hyp mi druu
when she was on top of the wood/tree

    Oj shehide kaj me lote
a e man men kur lujshim me tope
me top tkuq me top t'llastikut
    neper arat e mixha Sadikut
    (same as above ^^)

Oj shedihe moj t'ka than nona
    Oh Shehide your mother said
se qdo dit po shkon te sona
that every day you’re going to the hay stacks (sana = hay)
    kur po shkon po bertet
    when your going, your screaming
tan katuni e ka marr vesh
    the whole village has understood
sonte leci ty tka qu fjal
that tonight Leci has sent word
neser prama me to me dal
tomorrow night to go out with him
E me ble sakuza e bonbona
and to buy gum and candy
E apet me shku te sonaaa
and again to go to the hay stacks

Oj Shehide at kan lon ment
oh Shehide have you gone crazy? (lit. have your brains left you)
a e man mend kur I rujshim dhent
do you remember when we herded the pigs
a e man men kur lujshim me lloq
do you remember when we played with the/in the mud
    gjujshim shtagen nkallamoq
we threw sticks in the corn

    (Hej Besnik ndrroje pak hajt)
Hey Besnik change it up a bit

Oj Shehide kaj me lot e

a e man men Shehide kur lujshim me top eee...
do you remember Shehide when we played ball?

Shehidja e Leci hypshin kodrës perpjet
Shehidja and Leci went up the hill together
nuk e dishin se sa mir osht per shnet
they didn’t know how good it is for their health
une ja kom nis me dyshu se atmosfera kish ndryshu
I started to suspect that the atmosphere had changed
shehidja lecit mo spo i flet
Shehidja isn’t talking to Leci anymore
e per lecin u bo kijamet
and for Leci it has becom disastrous (lit. kijameti is Judgment Day)
sepse leci u tranu per shehiden tuj menu
because Leci is going crazy thinking about Shehidja

    Hypi leci shkallve perpjet
    Leci climed up the stairs
ni qik tjeter per me gjet
    looking for another girl
    drasa shkalles iu thy
the wood of the stair broke
e i ra shehides per mi kry
and it fell ontop of Shehidja’s head
pse mre ti mu per mi kry
why did you hit me on the head?
a po don ti veq mu fry
do you just wanna show off?
A spe sheh qe un po du e me ty po du mu martu
cant you see that I want to get married with you

Qishtu te kjo far mesele per Lecin e shkret
So goes this story of poor Leci
U martun kta te dyt bonen fmi nja 7 a 8
these two got married and had about 7 or 8 kids
fraeri u martu dhe shum i pelqej shneta
the boyfriends got married and he really like his health
ky vike nsheherr e ne shpi punojke kjo e shkreta

I actually think that by "sherr largohu sherr" she means "trouble go away", because sherr means trouble or a quarrel, and it makes more sense then noise.
