Solved: looked for this mystery song for years- sample included. please help

i've been searching for this song for years, please help me find it.

the song contains no words. i've heard it used as background music in multiple mtv/vh1 programs.

here's the sample, the song is in the background about 7 secs into the clip. it lasts for about 15 seconds. ignore the loud announcer's voice if you can:

I had a listen - well I tried to listen but couldn't make it out, sorry.

even if you don't know the song, what would someone describe this genre of music as? this may help me finding it later.

pop or techno/electronic do not seem to quite fit. neither does hip-hop.

It sounds like hip-hop to me.

Unfortunately I don't know the song.

I heard the lyrics as being "Bum bum bum bum bum" the whole time. I'm just not sure what song it is! ^^; Sorry!

yeah, the drums in it sound like hip-hop now that i think of it. thanks. that at least gives me a lead. maybe i can check out some hip-hop forums.
