Default Solved: Identify singer of Son of a Preacher Man (not Springfield?)(now linked)

    Hi...

I have a version of 'Son of a Preacher Man' by female singer, and I don't believe it is Dusty Springfield. It is 3:33 in duration.

I have read Wikipedia's entry for 'Son of a Preacher Man' and looked through all the names of those listed who have 'covered' this song... but I still haven't found the version I have... I've been through music sites, like iTunes and Amazon.

Singer reminds me of Tanya Tucker perhaps... but I don't think it is.

It starts with hard piano... 3 'notes' down, 2 trills up... with a sax solo in the middle of the song... good hard rock'n'rollin' upbeat rendition.

If there were some way to share it for identification purposes, I would... perhaps a (60) second clip?

    ...Link below !!! (Per F A B Scott's suggestion, thanks

    Talking Thanks

Better is right! I (really) mean, Thanks for the I.D.! Been buggin' me :S

Might even pick up some of the other songs by Farmer's Daughter.

I like a lot of Canadian singers (Wailin' Jennys, Alfie Zappacosta, Lynn Miles, etc), singing like some US entertainers have forgot (ok, only seems that way sometimes ).

Speaking of I.D... Maybe they could do a few shows for the border guards though (BOTH sides) and lighten up their attitudes (sorry). Sometimes seems it's their job to try to provoke a reaction... shouldn't be.
For example... Don't toss your I.D. on the counter, folks... apparently that's " incredibly rude!!! " (etc ...even when nobody is reaching for it). I think the over-reaction was the rude part. Ok, ok... sorry I brought it up... but I'll never forget that... (re)intro to the Great White North (if that's not derogatory), on my way back to Alaska from Wash. Whine, whine.

Thanks again... and for those musicians from your country
