Crash

I opened my eyes that morning, just like any other day
But I felt the strangest feeling, nothing seemed ordinary to me
So I began an expedition in my head,
there were some unexplored places and a new hurricane ahead

I felt some storm was breaking out, but didn’t knew where it would strike
So how could I have known ,it wasn’t save to leave this house?
While other days it seems the safest is to be not around,
So an escape was so attractive, seduced by independence we drove by that reflection
And so we forgot, I forgot, she forgot, we forgot our intention

The rain made everything shine, so sneaky, the road never looked so bright
And there we were, speeding our lives, speeding for miles,
Living by the risk , living until the dead man’s kiss, living but forgetting we could turn into stone once and for all

But careless as we are, or at least as we were, we let ourselves manipulate and I lost every touch with her
Fearless as we are, or at least as we were ,that’s how we pretend to be but now fear is what I prefer

We hit the road, with the wind on our cheeks, the raindrops in our eyes,
And then the killing machine suddenly gave up driving another mile
For a second I felt the end, but the pain confirmed my breathe,
And then I knew, or at least I felt
We were laying on the ground, next to the wreck I found
Surprisingly, a selfish thought: the materialism was rising like never before
Till I heard her groaning, and I realized what we’ve barely escaped from

Fire in our minds, a frozen time
The fire on our knees came with the explosion in our ears

And the next thing I know, it was me laying there
And suddenly, everyone seemed to care
A concern on all those unknown faces, those strangers, curiously examining our tire tracks
But a slight brutality on our faces, cause we felt the rain replacing and revealing all the facts
Now hold on to your senses,
sense to stay alive
sense the crash
