    Ok, here's another hard one for me.
    The main character, Karim, has just found out that the American woman is a target for a kidnapping. He doesn't know her yet. He needs to say (in Leb arabic) something to the affect of "She has beautiful eyes (h’ayounek helween?)
    Then he says something like,
    It really is too bad...
    Might he also say Ya rabee, or Mash'allah? He is Leb christian.

    ***ALSO, a big important line,
    "You cannot escape your fate"
    From Oedipus Rex the King, a greek classic, but he says it in arabic, then english

    Also--just refresh me... Enti Jameela -- you are beautiful?

    Thank you, shukran, and all that
    It I change the line to "We cannot escape our fate" would this be different from the above?
    Sorry to be such a pest

    Thanks so much! Is this in the Lebanese or pali dialect?
    I'm not sure about reez' allah.

    I am still very rusty with Arabic--one reason I come here
    Dreamer is very helpful and can provide translation for you in the Leb dialect.

    @najla:
    there's two possible meanings of rizz allah:
    1. Riz2 allah: Allah's bliss (or that Allah provides people with wealth, as in if you get paid a salary or something you'd say that this is from Allah) -I'm not very good with translation these things lol-
    2. Ridda Allah: the satisfaction of Allah (as in He's happy with His people)
    The hours of pain have yielded good,
    Which prosperous days refused;
    As herbs, though scentless when entire,
    Spread fragrance when they’re bruised.
