    Actually I like all songs of him (bought his cd) but my other favourites are "Mevsimler Geçerken", "Bilmem", "Senin Gibi Olsun" (Rakı).

    The hours of pain have yielded good,
    Which prosperous days refused;
    As herbs, though scentless when entire,
    Spread fragrance when they’re bruised.

    I see that this post is older, but I agree 100%. BARIS AKARSU is my favorite singer. (Ahhh . . . at least we still have his music, videos, concerts, interviews, and YALANCI YARIM! No other singer will ever replace him in my heart.) . . . And I agree with you, marmaris--I quite enjoy Haluk Levant's singing.

    marmaris, so glad to meet you! And that we hold at least two Turkish singers in the highest esteem for their musical talent! (For BARIS--so much about him is wonderful. Poor Haluk--he has met with some difficulties in Turkey, hasn't he??)

    Haluk Levant talked about leaving Turkey because of the money ("shark") problems he got into. Is he still in Turkey? Or did he leave? The last I heard, he was still in Turkey . . .

    You Must Listen to Mor ve Ötesi. When it comes to turkish rock, this is the band which really rocks.

    hey, i'm from romania, don't know any turkish and i was hoping one of you could help me out with something. Back in the 90's... between 1993-1995 i guess, there was this video on romanian tv of a turkish rock band, the video was in black and white, the band's lead singer was a girl and she had this interesting eye makeup on, looked like cat's eyes. The song was amazing, but i don't even remember the name of the band, or the song's name because i think it was in turkish. Could somebody help me with some rock bands name from the 90's that had a female lead singer? or if you think you remember that video i described, please tell me.thanks

    I loved "ayna". That's the old but fabulous band in turkish rock music

    except of that ı love classical turkish psychedelic singers. such as barış manço, erkin koray, selda bağcan etc.
