Jenu noć - For One Night

Skud je samo došla još ne znan
Where she came from I still don't know..
Uzela mi ruku rekla zajdi z namon van
She took my hand and said - come out with me
Je bolje da smo sami ti i ja
It's better that we're alone, me and you
Viruj meni da ti neće biti ža.
Trust me, you wont regret it.
I ti njoj reci: neću, nisan za to
And you tell her: I don't want to. That's not for me
Bija bin munjen da niš posa za njon
I would have been crazy if I hadn't went with her.
Takovu najdeš samo jenu na sto
She is one in a million
    Znaš da bin bija zbalja
You know that I've made a mistake
    da je nis prova.
    if you hadn't tried her
    Jenu noć, tu jenu noć
For one night, for one night
    Da je nis prova
    if you hadn't tried her
    Jenu noć, tu jenu noć
For one night, for one night
    Bija bin zbalja.
    I've made a mistake
Više je ne zabin, vero ne
    I won't forget her anymore, I really won't
U meni je ustala z glave mi ne gre
She stayed in my head, wont get out of it
    Ki zna di je sada
    Who know's where she's now
    ča pensa
    what she's thinking
Da li se domišlja kako san se zva.
If she's trying to recall my name

yes Paulien, It's in Istrian dialect..Many words are spelled slightly different with a "n" ending - like Znan (znam) Ja san (ja sam) so don't let this confuse you ..

Thanks Janica08 and thanks to you too Spring!

Yeah, I'm learning the serbian lanuage and it did confuse me a little bit.. but now I see that there are more differences in serbian and croatian than I thought

No no.. Do not compare official Serbian with a Croatian dialect. Then of course you will see too many differences.. Same would happen if you compared official Serbian with a dialect of Serbian

How can you see what is a dialact? Or is that hard to see for people like us who are not from Croatia or Serbia?

Well, foreign people can't recognize which excatly dialect it is, but they're able to see that it's not correct, so that's why they'll ask why is some thing different, as you just ask and find out that it's a dialect.

Uh zaboravila sam da trebate pomoć, znači evo prijevoda ovih nepoznanica

Znaš da bin bija zbalja - I have no idea what this means
You know that it would've been a mistake
You know that I've made a mistake

This most probably comes from italian verb sbagliare - to make a mistake

Više je ne zabin, vero ne - no idea
    I'll never forget, I wont
    I won't forget her anymore, I really won't

vero - also an italian word, may mean ''really'' in this context

    ča pensa - no idea
    what she's thinking
    What she's thinking - it's correct

    pensare - to think (italian)
''Glupost je sama u sebe zaljubljena i njeno je samoljublje bezgranično.''

    ''Siamo niente senza fantasie''

''Наверное мне место на луне, но страшно оставаться в темноте''
