The years part us and we meet again, but the wound is the same as it had been
From the pain of separation our tears precede our steps
I described our situation to the time, but it didn't understand my description
We were patient and our patience is a burning charcoal behind the ribs

I wonder if the lovesick face should smile if it will feel cheerful
His hopes staggered from her eyes as did our hopes
He built from his memories in the passionate ocean some castles
But the ocean flustered and he did not find for him any coast

Oh people, the holidays have no color, no flavor, and no joy
And if you said what is the reason, I would say Allah shall heal us
We blame the time and the story has no addition nor subtraction
Because the flaw that the Lord created dwells within us

What is the meaning of "kaweena" in "wara el adla3 kaweena"? As in "kawa" like 'window', 'opening' oder like "kawen" as in 'acid'? Because, I believe both would make sense...
    EDIT:

Or no, wait, like "kawa" in 'to burn'?
    - Racism is not far, it is in everybody's nature. Detect thy fears, thy prejudices, and live in unison with these fears and every being that does not harm thee.
