Hah, I've found something interesting about this song:

"Sofia Rotaru София Ротару "Speak Softly, Love" "Скажи что любишь" is the original, "The Godfather" Theme Song.

There is a story behind this song that not only the Western world, where "The Godfather" movie is a timeless classic, but also Sofia's own fan base in Eastern Europe know very little about.

The song was written by Serguey Kocherga and a composer Nino Rota for Sofia Rotaru. When the score got selected for "The Godfather" movie, Sofia Rotaru was forbidden by the Soviet concert administration to record at Ariola (today Sony BMG Music Entertainment) the English cover of The Godfather's theme in English language.

I just wanted the world to know, that if the Soviet regime was a little less controlling, Sofia's life might have taken a different turn, and we would have certainly had a very different "The Godfather" movie music score."

too bad that she is not world-wide famous because i believe she is 1 of the best of all times and everybody should experience the pleasure of her voice
