Habibti = My love So you would call your girlfriend/wife that, so yes it would work for your significant other

7abibi/7abibti is a term of endearment my love, my darling, my dear, etc.. if you prefer not to use it you can say "sadeeqi (bf)/sadeeqti (gf)" "sa7bi (bf)/sa7ebti(gf)" and usually it's understood, if it's not understood then after you state they are a "friend", you can say "fi 3elaqa baynatna" There is a relationship between us So that way whoever you are telling will officially understand. because you can say 7abibti for a female as in you adore her or sweety.. it works in all sorts of ways.
