Default Amr Mostafa & Raquel Camins - Awal Maawal (Cómo Decir)

Could you help me to translate the Spanish parts to Arabic (arabic phonic) please? ....

    awel ma2ol ..
    When I first say

    awel ma2ol ya 7abeby w a7'er ma2ol ya 7abeby
When I first say sweetheart and when I last say sweetheart

    kelma b kol el kalam .. ..
A word out of all the words..

Como decir, que en tus brazos me quiero fundir
me estoy ahogando si se que te alejas de mi
    morire

How to say, that in your arms I want to melt
I'm drowning if you go away from me
    I will die

No me olvide, de tus besos
no me olvide, de los sueños
que junto a ti yo pase

I do not forget your kisses
I do not forget the dreams
    that with you, I live

Dejo por ti, tanto tiempo de soledad maquillada

I leave for you, so long makeup loneliness

    kelma b kol el kalam .. ..
A word out of all the words..

    awel ma2ol ..
    When I first say
the first love is gone ... am waiting for the last one!!

I think she is saying "its been so long with this make-up of loneliness... like make-up as in she wears her loneliness on her face"

Just wanted to give our Arabic friends a more detailed picture of the phrase as we know so much can be lost in translation

By the way.... un millon de gracias Zahra2008por esta sugeracion..... es una cancion bella!

Hi girls! I hope you don't mind me giving my opinion on this.

I understand the "soledad maquillada" to mean her loneliness was "disguised", "veiled", "hidden". You know, like she's felt lonely for a long time but has always feigned otherwise, and now she's dropping that mask.

    hey thanks for your opinion...

I see what you mean, specially taking the words in context with the whole sentence which means " I leave for you so much time of solitude ( I didnt translate maquillada)

whenever there is a question as to the translation of words/phrases, I find it helpful to see how the words in question are used in the country/region where the singer comes from.

From my understanding of the Spanish dialect ( spanish in Spain, Raquel is from Spain) they do not use the word 'maquillar' interchangeably with 'esconder' 'disfrazar', 'cubrir',etc.

But who knows, maybe she meant to say her solitude is hidden as you have suggested.... makes sense to me either way because when she says "soledad maquillada" I envision a sad woman with lipstick, eye-shadow, mascara, and blush that leaves her with 'loneliness' painted across her face...(como un rostro de soledad).

    Thanks for your suggestion citlalli

    Hi again

No, I didn't mean it like it's a regionalism or idiom from my country or any other place in particular, but like a metaphor, which at the end of the day are universal. Anyway, that's only my understanding of it, not an absolute truth; after all these things are open to different interpretations sometimes, aren't they?

LOL... poor Zahra must be thinking "whatever... but where's my translation?" (don't worry compatriot! we're keeping your thread right at the top of the arabic section )

ohhh I see what you meant... like different creative interpretations.... well your suggestion is most definitively plausible

and ya... Zahra is probably excited that her thread is still on the first page....
and for a good cause too because who doesn't love discussions on interpretations of words... specially lyrics/poems

BTW---Zahra I absolutely love this version of awel ma 2ol.... never heard it before!

    a million shokran dear Daydream!

just to help out.... the phrase "I leave for you, so long makeup loneliness" is like saying:

because of you I leave a long time of make-up of loneliness ( like make-up that women wear on their face)

    or

because of you i leave a long time of hidden loneliness

I guess it would be nice if you could translate both lines *shy*

    thanks again!!!!!
