    the verb 'to be'

    These are the affirmative forms! Bulgarian verbs have different forms for every person!!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I am --> Аз съм
    You are (singular)--> Ти си
    He is --> Той е
    She is --> Тя е
    It is --> То е
    We are --> Ние сме
    You are (plural & polite) --> Вие сте
    They are --> Те са
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    To create the negative form, put 'не' (the Bulgarian for 'no') in
    front of the verb 'to be'...

    I am not --> Аз не съм

    You are not (singular)--> Ти не си

    He is not --> Той не е

    She is not --> Тя не е

    It is not --> То не е

    We are not --> Ние не сме

    You are not (plural & polite) --> Вие не сте

    They are not --> Те не са

    Note: notice that the negative article comes before the verb and NOT after like it does in English..so there for the forms ''аз съм не'', ''ти си не'' etc... are NOT correct!!!
