Complete Pimsleur Romanian

The Pimsleur Romanian is actually outdated; they use the older system of pronunciation/spelling... For example, they say "sînt" (recently discontinued) in place of "sunt" (which is used now).

But even though the spelling has changed, the word is still pronounced as sînt.

It's now pronounced with a "u" as it's spelled, Mike. Its pronunciation is slightly different now.

hmm, are u sure dragonfly? I had thought that my rom tutor had said that it was pronounced the same with î. But maybe I have misunderstood.

I will ask on the learn rom forum.

OK, according to a professional opinion, "sunt" is pronounced how it's spelled. The "street pronunciation" is "sînt"; however, it's not necessarily correct, if you are technical.
