Nice & beautiful cover by Sertab,
In some ways, it's better than the original

Hi everybody...Oh my God, please find the original song from France by CALOGERO for the members who doesn't know, "Si seulement je pouvais lui manquer" "If only He could miss me"...this song in French talks about all the children who does not grow up near their fathers for so many reasons...I have a great admiration for Turkish singers, i am a Fan...My husband is Turkish and LOVES CALOGERO...

Those two versions are just different and they don't talk about the same sorrows in a life...In both versions, i think You can only feel chills and heartache for all the ones, adults or children who are living such a situation...

Thank you so much, I like Calogero version too. Maybe, my great love for Sertab's version is because of the empathy. I can feel every words she sings in this song, and I can be in the place of her.

I totally agree with you, both versions have a sense of melancholy, which would shiver you.

    <3 it

The hours of pain have yielded good,
    Which prosperous days refused;
As herbs, though scentless when entire,
    Spread fragrance when they’re bruised.

I didnt understand the lyrics fully I tried to translate it for another thread

    kimi acılar içimizden geçer,
    Some sadness passes us inside
    kimi anılar üstümüzden...
    Some memories pass over us
beni susturur, seni doldurur, bizi arkamızdan vurur...
It silences me, fills me, then stabs me in the back

    kimi sözler birbirine benzer,
    Some words are the same
    kimi sessizlikten beter...
    Others are worse than silence
beni kandırır, seni avutur, bizi arkamızdan vurur..
Deceive me, I console you, stab me in the back

Be proud (*ahem at my ability to manipulate google translate loool*)
