    Question Translate a random quote?

Please can someone translate "What has been is not lost" (originally "ce-a fost nu s-a pierdut" in Romanian? I am trying to add as many languages as I can to my signature...

I found this translation on Google, but I'm not sure it is correct.
    Τι ήταν, δεν χάνεται
I think it says "what is not lost"

    Thank you
Minä olen horjunut, epäilen enemmän kuin ennen
Mutta halusit ihmisen, sen viat, sen heikkouden

when you say "What has been" what do you mean?
do you speak for something that happened ? (ότι έγινε, δεν χάθηκε)
do you speak for somebody and how he was (or became) in the past ?(ότι ήτανε / αυτό που ήτανε, δεν χάθηκε)

happened & became is the same verb in greek = έγινε

"What has been" means "what happened" (the "something"). Thank you

It does say what is not lost. Οτι ηταν, δεν χανεται is probably what you're looking for.
