    Can anyone post the song in Spanish, "El Vives"? It is an old hymn and I've heard it in Spanish that roughly translated in English the song, "He Lives". Some studio musicans sang it in Spanish. The English version goes- I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say; I see his hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, And just the time I need Him, He's always near. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. (A. H. Ackley) It's sung alot around Easter. Could someone post the whole song in Spanish?

    Hi Debbi,

    The title of the hymn in Spanish is «Jesús Resucitado». You can find the English and Spanish version with the guitar chords at the following link:

    J - Alabanzas / Praises

    Hope it helps!

    That's not the right song. The one I asked for is "El Vive". It has the same tune to the hymn "He Lives" but the words are different. "El Vive" is on the albumn called, "25 Favoritos Himnos Internacionales" and is sung by studio musicians. I listened to the song on Rhapsody.com. Can someone listen to the song and tell me what they are saying in Spanish (not in English). I can understand Spanish better when I can read the words.

    Is it this?

    que a pesar del gran sufrimiento que padecia y de su
    expresion de agonia el me miraba con amor y aun no
    alcanzo a entender por
    que el decia palabras como;PADRE PERDONALOS POR
    QUE NO SABEN LO QUE HACEN ,en mi interior yo le decia ;
    vamos si eres el hijo de Dios por que no bajas de esa
    cruz por que si dices que no has conocido pecado mueres
    por los pecadores y los presenta
    justos ante tu padre cuando creo que el unico justo eres tu

    De pronto me di cuenta que mi cuerpo comenzo a temblar
    por que parecia que le escuachaba mis pensamientos y
    mientras por su cuerpo desfigurado corria la sangre el me
    decia con su mirada:SI NO BAJO DE ESTA CRUZ ES POR AMOR A TI.

    I too have been looking for the Spanish translation of this song:

    I serve a risen Saviour,
    He's in the world today;
    I know that He is living,
    Whatever men may say;
    I see His hand of mercy,
    I hear His voice of cheer,
    And just the time I need Him
    He's always near.

    ####Chorus:

    He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives
    today!
    He walks with me and He talks with me
    Along life's narrow way.
    He lives, He live, salvation to impart!
    You ask me how I know He lives:
    He lives within my heart.

    In all the world around me
    I see His loving care,
    And tho my heart grows weary
    I never will despair;
    I know that He is leading
    Thro' all the stormy blast,
    The day of His appearing
    Will come at last.

    ####

    Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
    Lift up your voice and sing
    Eternal hallelujahs
    To Jesus Christ the King!
    The hope of all who seek Him,
    The help of all who find,
    None other is so loving,
    So good and kind.

    Did you look at it? It isn't a literal translation, but is much better. For example, "He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me" translates fairly literally as "Él vive, Él vive, Cristo Jesús vive hoy. Él camina conmigo y habla conmigo", which is quite a mouthful, but that nice link up there gives you "Jesús, Jesús, mi Cristo vive hoy. Hablándome, mirándome", which is *much* better. Poetic tweaks to translations are always much more singable. If you want to see a more literal translation, try here:

    Dave started that thread, and I've posted to try to make the literal more usable, but the above is... Well, I've already said it - it is *much* better.

    See comments to Debbi...

    The one linked to above (here's the direct link - http://alabanzaspraises.weebly.com/u...resucitado.pdf ) is what you are looking for. In case you miss it there but get it here, I've posted to your other request to help tweak it.

    Hope it helps.

    I think this is the translation you're looking for:

    Resucitó triunfante, Jesús mi Salvador
    Ya vive el Rey glorioso, del mundo Redentor;
    Su dulce voz escucho, conmigo siempre va;
    Palpar su mano puedo; muy cerca está.

    ¡El vive ya! ¡Triunfante vive ya!
    El victorioso Salvador conmigo siempre va.
    ¡El vive ya! ¡Sí, Cristo vive aquí!
    ¡Yo sé que Cristo vive en mí,
    yo sé que vive en mí!

    En todo el mundo brota su amor y su poder,
    Su gran misericordia me sigue por doquier
    Cual buen pastor me guía, feliz yo vivo aquí,
    Pues siento su presencia, El vive en mí.

    Cantad, cantad, cristianos! Con alma y voz cantad,
    A Cristo, Rey de gloria, con júbilo aclamad;
    El nos ha prometido que al mundo volverá,
    El día ya se acerca, Jesús vendrá.

    I must say that the other translation posted in this thead is pretty good to.

    Blessings,

    Diego
