So I've already seen the translation for Cicho here, but I'm desperate to find some (good ) translations for other songs, pleeeaaase ^^ :

[Polish word "smyki" here means = "smyczki" = "instrumenty smyczkowe" which is a name of the group of string instruments for which bows are used to play them, in English the group is called simply: the strings
"na smykach" was used here because lyrics sounds better, they harmonize better with music
the meaning of the line is "somebody is playing the strings (a construction: "to play the piano / to play the guitar")
we have here a personification, "music" is personified – as somebody who (on their own) can play instruments

"Fiddlesticks" are sticks used to play rhythmic accompaniment on a fiddle (folk violin), see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiddles...al_instrument))
but I emphasize it is not about playing either fiddlesticks or bows, that's absurd]

- About the word "po" as in "po niebie szłam" : has it the same meaning as in Russian, as to say "along" but also "in, here and there" ?

Yes, KREW - is femine, so dense - tak gęsta, such dense - taka gęsta; tak (how ?) - is adverb (like for example 'very'), taki, taka, takie (which ?) - is adjective (strictly - both are pronouns : tak ('so') - an adverbal pronoun and taki ('such') - an adjectival pronoun)
PO - here means 'along' because of 'szłam' - 'I (the woman) went' (or 'I (the woman) have gone ) from 'iść' - 'to go' means a move in the definitive direction from a point A to a point B (here : to you), while 'chodzić po ulicy' ('to come here and there in the street') means an indefinitive move.
So, as you see, a meaning of a praeposition like PO depends to the meaning of an accompanying verb

feminine: taka (singular, nominative)
masculine: taki (singular, nominative)
neuter: takie (singular, nominative)

these are "zaimki przymiotne", don't expect I know an English equivalent, let's call it "adjectival pronouns" like Bandziol proposes, they "behave" like adjectives: we use for them different grammatical genders, singular/plural, plus different grammatical cases (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammatical_case)

and "tak" belongs to group called "zaimki przysłowne", "adverb pronouns" (? adverbal ? )which "behave" like adverbs and never change their forms

It is possible to say:
the blood is so thick / dense:
krew jest taka gęsta = krew jest tak gęsta
both versions are possible, although the latter rather not common, and usually used when there is another part of sentence, for example:
she is so ugly... / ona jest taka brzydka...
she is so ugly I cannot look at her / one jest tak brzydka, że nie mogę na nią patrzeć

I'm so happy... / jestem taka szczęśliwa...(in the feminine)
but "jestem tak szczęśliwa" doesn't sound correct...

on the other hand we can say:
I was so surprised by that message... / Byłam tak zaskoczona tą wiadomością ... and here "tak" sounds better for me than "taka"...
maybe because there is an object...?

I know less about Russian than French which means: nothing. I don't understand what you meant...

"po" as a preposition can be used with different nouns in different expression

the sky can be seen as a surface, so we say in Polish "po niebie" (when talking about movement of some objects in the sky: clouds, the sun)

and because in the song the sky is used let's say as a road, a path, a way (a poetic vision)
I think "along the sky" can be used similary to "to walk along the street" / "to wander along the beach"

this is how I understand it
