that's a good idea for a song, but I can't realy get this idea in the texte.
It's interessting if you have to read between the lines, but this time I can't finde the subject^^
And it's not difficult to find out wich genre this song is with it's powerful words: Fist, devour, Consume my fanatic state of mind.....
I prefer a more colorful way of writing... but this song is meant to be a metal song^^

Yeah you do have to read between the lines a bit. That's just the way I write. I like to stimulate people's thoughts

Anyway I'll take you verse by verse in the meanings.

'Consuming the mind' is more of a political referrence than anything. It's about the empty hole that is being created in people's minds though mass media, which turns them away from the tings that matter.
'Release me from this stranglehold on myself' is showing the will to escape from it all, and that the protagonist is self-destructive.

Devour my sanity
A world of uncertainty

'Devour my sanity', once again it's about the emptiness of the brain.
'A world of uncertainty' is about how clueless people are about things, and when something major happens, it seems so out of the blue.
'Forever and ever we will fly away' is again showing the will to disappear from it all.

This is where the music is 'heavy' and plays a major part in the message.
'I'm grinding my teeth, I'm clenching my fists' is about the thoughts that this person is having, and how angry they are.
'I'm treating your reasoning with nothing but fear'. When something bad happens, we are usually given a reason as to why it happened, and instead of this empowering the person, it only makes them more fearful.

The person 'turns the other cheek' and acts as though it means nothing.
It ends up consuming them and they give in to it.

This shows the person being taken advantage of.
Again, the idea of wanting to disappear is re-enforced.
