Hmm I dont know the actuall order, but the first bit was right, name + fathers name + surname, but im not sure if the grandfathers name goes before or after the surname

Haha I never knew her dads name was Nabeel

Names in arabic are usually given in two ways:

if asked for the isim al thulaathi (الاسم الثلاثي), it's : name + father + surname
if asked for the isim al rubaa3i (الاسم الرباعي), it's : name + father + grandfather + surname

or at least that's the way I have been taught

I think the reason Arab's use a lot of eye references and connotations is because to Arabs, the eyes (and hair) are usually the thing to look for when looking for beauty in a person.. Also, the shape, colour can be used to describe feelings/experiences, such as wide eyes could be a connoation of freedom, wide spaces within which you can lose yourself.

And I agree with shamoosa, in that most arabs have pretty/beautiful eyes.

ARAB eyes are well known through thier beautiful, color and shape of thier eyes as noona said above ...

especially Bedouins with there beautiful eyes
not to foget that eyes are the mirror of the soul
eyes could tell everything without spelling a word

arabs used eyes alot in thier songs/poems
    since pre-islam in thier poems
eyes were main subject in platonic love when looking at women body
or speaking directly yo woman was forbidden
so this comes this way since ages
anyway who doesnt like eyes /pretty eyes ?
we get attracted to pretty eyes thats a fact

I'm even older yes, you read correctly so you can classify me in the Stone Age if you wish

Going back to eyes... ok, I know we're talking about Arabs, but I'd like to add that eyes are very special also in Latin American cultures

Hahahaha... you're right Maviiicim And I like more the idea of vintage wine than the 'mature' adjective Viva used (coz it made me feel like a block of cheddar cheese LOL )

Concerning italian songs about eyes, I'll need to search in my ipod
