    Default Translation and lyrics request?

    Dear everyone,

I came across this song on an Egyptian dancers' Cd I received the other day. It's called El Wada'a. I have no other information about this song (artist etc.) but can post a sound sample here.
I'm looking for a translation and the phonetic Arabic lyrics (not Arabic script but it is also welcome ofcourse ).

Since this song and it's lyrics cannot seem to be found elsewhere, I hope somebody could help me by writing them down for me and post them here. I hope someone can help, I'd be very grateful to know what the lyrics mean!

    Shukran so much!!

Ps. Here is the sound samples I hope somebody would like to translate. I cut out just the parts that I would like to know and put them in one file, so the song is not too long. I hope you can help!

    Shukran again!

Dear Daydream, I think I did something wrong. It seems to be working now:

I've put it on zshare as well though. Here it is:

I've put just the parts with lyrics into one file and moved most repetitions out, but PM me if you'd like the whole song (about 8 mins and lots of repetition).

Thanks a lot for your time!!
    *hugs daydream*

I have no idea who the singer is, it's a catchy song though lol so I wouldn't mind the full mp3

I'll get to work on it for you right now

    W akhot bel wada3
    As I roll my dice

Ta3al ermi bayadak, washweesh el dakar
Come and toss your money, blow on the dice
ermi bayadak means to throw your money, to pay (her, the fortune teller) the fees, and washweesh el dakar means to whisper to the dice your hopes and dreams, but in American culture you will see the whole blowing on the dice for luck so that's what I subbed it with

Ta3al ermi bayadak, washweesh el dakar
Come and toss your money, blow on the dice

Washweesh el dakar, washweesh el dakar
Blow on the dice, blow on the dice

Matwashweesh al dakar, washweesh el dakar
Blow on the dice come on, blow on the dice

    Washweesh, matwashweesh, Allah washweesh, washweesh
Whipser to it, whisper already, oh ya whisper, whisper

    Etnein wa2feen 2osadak w fi seket safar
There are two standing in front of you and there is a road to travel

Etnein wa2feen 2osadak w nas zai el amar
There are two standing in front of you and they are a lovely pair

Blow on the dice, blow on the dice

Tab washweesh al dakar, washweesh el dakar
Blow on the dice come on, blow on the dice

Washweesh, washweesh, tab washweesh yohoo washweesh
Whipser to it, whisper, alright whisper, hurry up whisper

Thanks also to VivaPalestina for the original song, it is lovely seeing the videoclip! The version I got was on a cd from Asmahan, a dancer in Cairo. It is a lovely song and I'm so happy now to know what the words mean!!

aww you are too sweet It was a pleasure dear! and yes most of the time the bellydance CD's are filled with folkloric local songs and they are harder to find the artist as they are not part of the mainstream, but who knows maybe one day we will stumble upon it and notify you
