-Intro-
Now let me tell you a fairytale, an always real fairytale
He would never hurt you, her best friend said
Trust me, I know him since the first grade and for him this is real
She really believed no more tears she’ll shed
She loved him back got hurt so one day she told him how she feels
-Pre Chorus-
He said he was in love with her, but he wanted her to change herself for him
He said for him their love matters, so she went to a corner thinking
And now she’s still thinking that maybe she should’ve changed for him
-Chorus-
She tried to take the place of Juliet, but he never even read Shakespeare
They were too different, each with a well-fixed life
He wasn’t strong enough to love yet, but she entered that game without a fear
Dreaming that someday she’d be his wife
They became friends since the first minute they have talked
Her best friend knew him and she told her that they would get along
When neither of them was searching for love
But soon enough, their love has turned into a beautiful song
-Pre Chorus-
She said she was afraid to change, but she didn’t even give it a try
He said he can’t give her a chance so she ran to a corner to cry
And now she’s alone with her tears he didn’t dare to dry
-Chorus-
She tried to take the place of Juliet, but he never even read Shakespeare
They were too different, each with a well-fixed life
He wasn’t strong enough to love yet, but she entered that game without a fear
Dreaming that someday she’d be his wife
-Bridge-
Their fairytale is now a memory of the past
And in this moment, after all the months that passed
She’s flirting with somebody else, but thinking of the one she truly misses
He’s got a new girlfriend, but imagines it’s her that he’s kissing…
No one can see they remember that show
No one can see they remember that so long ago…
-Chorus-
She tried to take the place of Juliet, but he never even read Shakespeare
They were too different, each with a well-fixed life
He wasn’t strong enough to love yet, but she entered that game without a fear
Dreaming that someday she’d be his wife
-Outro-
The boy is you, the girl is me, does it help when you know it ?
It doesn’t mean I’m not hurt just because I don’t show it
This is great, and in some way, beautiful ... but not 'beautiful' because I can feel such sadness ... her sadness of course, but also his. And the rebound, in the bridge, both of them still reaching ... wow, that really finishes it. Yeah, a fairy tale that was real.
I could suggest some minor changes, help you polish a phrase here and there. But I get so much feeling from it that it seems too sacred for me to touch.
