Hi everyone, I have found these translations of "ψάχνω την αλήθεια/psaxno tin alitheia" by Έλενα Παπαρίζου/ (H)Elena Paparizou, on the internet, but I am wondering if they are accurate. Just looking at the last sentence "και να 'ξερες πως ζητώ το αφεντικό ..."; it is translated as "if only you knew how much I long for a boss ..." which sounds really strange to my ears. Is there anyone who might look at this, and correct it where necessary? It would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Το αυθεντικό! = The original
These two words are heard almost the same =]
But except fot that, the translation is accurate!

lalalaro, you rule!! I was already wondering about this, it just didn't 'seem' right. Evxaristo poly!!!

But how'd you translate this sentense then:

και να 'ξερες πως ζητώ το αυθεντικό

Something like: "I know who is the original/ the real one"?? :s Please, do tell me how you would trans;ate those sentenses then (for even though it is just a few letters, those changes make quite some differences, I guess ).

το κάθε θέλω μου αυθεντικό

Yes, I understand! The meaning changes a lot! See what happened with the boss hahah

I was listening to the song yesterday and I realised that the last sentence of the lyrics isn't "και να 'ξερες πώς ζητώ το αυθεντικό" (which means "if only you knew how much I long for the original")
It is "Για να ξέρεις πως ζητώ το αυθεντικό", which can be translated as "So that you're aware that I ask for the original"

Elena wasn't singing very clearly in this specific part!

Thnx só much! I just knew that there was something about this song that just didn't add up! And here you are; tackling every weakness of the original (αυθεντικό ) translation! You rule! Sounds a lot more girl-power now! (something I always thought Elena is )
