I'd like to know what exactly these lyrics mean (I can translate only literally this song,I'm afraid )

It is a folk song.
I can't get the meaning of the song, probably because of the historical reasons, whom I don't know.

So, please, a native greek may help me!

Well my friend geomac there's nothing too complicated about it.....
It's saying the story of a girl that has been ordered by the "beis of Yiannina"
(ottoman governor of Yiannina) to join his harem.

As for the goats, those were reffered as the dowry of the woman.
So if she had to go to a harem she wouldn't have to have dowry, as she couldn't
get married.....

what I don't understand is why ,,λύκος" and ,,τσάκαλος" are without their definite article ,,ο" - ,,o λύκος" ,,o τσάκαλος" because they are in nominative case.

We use the article only when there's a specific thing that we wanna point out.
In this case it should have been "ένας" λύκος ή "κάποιος" λύκος
