What in the world happened to Iraq's football team? They won the 2007 Asia Cup and then disappeared completely! I was hoping they might be able to make it to the WC--i tihnk they deserve it more than north korea!

Not that i want to get within 10 miles of that horrible fighting between Masri and Al Jazair--but I agree with you only because I think Egypt has a slightly stronger team and could do a little better.

But I think we should be thankful that at least one arab team made it!

That having been said I think it is idiotic that the AFC only gets 4 spots in the world cup. Not because of population--I can tell you India couldnt beat the Falkland Islands in 10 matches even if they doped. I think Iraq, KSA, or Iran could easily take on some of the UEFA teams.

Japan and South Korea are worthy teams, but I'm sorry--North Korea has no business at all being in the world cup or any international sporting event. People back home arent even be allowed to watch it!
