Hi everyone! I have been searching for one week now for the lyrics and translation for Shereen's song "3alashan Masr" but haven't been able to find either (however I did find the mp3 :P)......I would really appreciate it if anyone could offer the lyrics and translation for this song. Here are the arabic lyrics Any youtube link?

    And here is the translation

    الله اكبر عليهم
    May God bless them
    فعلا دول رجالتنا
    Truely these are our men
    الدنيا بحالها عرفت
    The word alone knew
    مين احنا وأيه قيمتنا
Who we are and what we're worth

    علشان مصر حبيبتي اضحي
For Egypt, my dear, I sacrifice
    مهما اضحي شويه عليها
No matter how much I sacrifice, its still little
    زي مانا اتربيت من خيرها
Just like how I grew up in her goodness
    وقت ما تحتجني البيها .
And when she needs me I'll be there for her

مصر هتفضل غاليه عليا جو عنيا وروح الروح
Egypt is going to stay dear to me, in my eyes, and my soul
دمي فداها وعمري هديه تعلي رايتها مكان ما بروح .
My blood for her sake, and my years a present, her flag goes high up wherever I go

    ايوا احنا ولادها احنا
Yes we are her children, we are
    وقت الشده تلاقينا
In times of hardship she will find us
    كلنا بنشوف نجاحنا
    We'll all see our success
    مصر بتتباها بينا
    Egypt shows us off

مصر هتفضل غاليه عليا جو عنيا وروح الروح
Egypt is going to stay dear to me, in my eyes, and my soul
دمي فداها وعمري هديه تعلي رايتها مكان ما بروح .
My blood for her sake, and my years a present, her flag goes high up wherever I go

    Enjoy!

    Palestina,

I am also wondering if you would not mind to translate a song I heard for Amr Diab (since you were so kind in replying to the translation request for Shereen).

It is a song which he sung in Dubai recently called "Lessa Befakkar Feek." I did try to get you the lyrics to help make it easier but I could not find it. I am hoping that maybe you have heard it and can help with the translation.

    Thank you!

Althought the mods prefer it if you start a new thread, as it makes it easier when running searches So how about opening a new thread for it? And post a youtube link this time if you can find it If you'd prefer I do the new thread just let me know!

As opposed to Palestinians who dont? I think everyone loves their country, I've met Iraqis who wont shup up about Iraq, Pakis who keep telling me how great Pakistan is (and please dont be offended by that term, I use it as a term of affection!), so why should Egyptians be any different?

all these countries that have corrupt regimes and the governments do nothing for their people... and yet the british goverment do so much for their people and yet subhan allah no one has a good word to say about it!

LOL why dont you think about it another way? English are too reserved to show open affection to anyone, let alone their government, but come world cup, thats when you see how much we all support our teams, not because they're good, but because they represent our country

And I think many people have some good things to say about our country...when they finish complaining about the tax rise that is

Heres the translation But I still need to hear the song to double check the words, they dont seem to make much sense at the end..

حبيبى لسه بفكر فيك .. ولسه ليك ف القلب غرام
My love I still think of you...and there is still passion in my heart for you
إزاى يا عمرى تقولى ناسيك .. مقدرتش حتى اسمع كلام ..
How oh my life could you tell me you've forgotten me...I couldnt even hear the words

    ده كلام
يتقال ... ده مجاش عالبال ..
Are these words to be said?...They havent even come to mind

ازاى يا حبيبى يا حبيبى تقولى كدة
How my love oh my love could you tell me this
حبيبي .. ياحبيبي .. قال فاكرينك بتحبيني وبينا حكايه
My love...oh my love...and we thought you loved me and there was a story between us
مهو شايفينك .. جايه معايا ورايحه معايا
We can see you...coming with me and going with me

موش فاهمينك اه ولو بينا حكايه هـ يحكي
We dont understand you, ah if there's a story between us to be told
كل ما نضحك على نظرتهم قلبي بيبكي
Everytime we laugh at their looks, my heart cries
ايوه بحبك بس مخبي الهوى جوايا
Yes I love you, but Im hiding my love inside

This is a question of patriotism.
There is a big difference between collaborationist government of Mubarak or such thing and the country. Government can change at any time, but your homeland is always with you. And if some one doesn't like his homeland just due to bad government, it is sad.
And yes, british government does and did very good things. specially for India or many other places in all continents in the past.
