I need help to understand the first verse of Ya raye7 sawb biladi for Ahmed qabur.

I guess the word is related to the root وصل - to come / to arrive . Could it be : please come in peace ?

بلغ أهلي وولادي مشتقلون رفّ الحمام
إسئلي إمي يا منادي بعدا ممنوعة الأحلام ؟

وَصّل: deliver... this is dialect the Fus7a for it is
أوصل:

It'll mean deliver my salute...
for example you might say:
وصلني على البيت: deliver me to home... drop
وصل هدول الأغراض: deliver these things... send

But it's a lebanese song .I've no idea how it is related to the nakba. Any way it's a very nice song. I am trying to translated it but there are many words in dialect. If you want to translate it , it will save time for me and of course a translation made by the master of the masters is much better than that one made by a poor trainee lol.

This is my try for first verse,but this song has many difficult words and most of the come from dialect

يا رايح صوب بلادي دخلك وصلي السلام

I am going in direction of my country,I beg you, bring me a peace


بلغ أهلي وولادي مشتقلون رفّ الحمام
Inform my family and kids ,they are longing for fluttering of pigeon


إسئلي إمي يا منادي بعدا ممنوعة الأحلام ؟
Ask my mom (ya manaade-name ???or calling???)still it is not allowed to dream?


وقلا إياما ببالي والله بتعزّ الإيام

And said(but i hear it more و لاقي=and you find: days how (many) in my mind ,really you like days

يصبح: means to visit or come at early mornings
Go the Nabatyie people at early mornings and have a look over the tents
* Nabaityie is a city in Lebanon and I think there are refugee camps there

وقلا إن الحاج محمد مشتاق لأهلو ورفقاتو
Tell her that Haj Mohammad misses his family and friends

بحي السلم ما تهنا إشتاقت عينو لتراباتو
He wasn't happy in Sillom Avenue, his eyes missed its sand

قلا عيونو نامت لكن صاحي قلبو ما بنام
Tell her that his eyes are sleeping (closed), but his heart is awake and never falled asleep


و يا رايح صوب كفر متى دخلك وصلي السلام
Oh the one who's going toward Kfar Matta please give my salutaion


وبلغ غيمات كفرمتى واصلا رف الحمام
And tell Kfar Matta's clouds that pigeons' ... reached them

وقلا عندي بنت زغيري عالتلة نسيت شالها
Tell her that I have (found) a little girl who forgot her shawl on the hill

عن أهلها إسألتا و عن بيتها بتحكي ما بتعرف حالها
I asked her about her family and house, she speaks but she doesn't know herself

يبا ضاعت وصلت لكفر متى غنّولا شوي تتنام
Oh, she's lost, and reached Kfar Matta, sing a little for her so as to fall asleep

They cut all of them excep one, let them water it, poor (the tree)

is the root of this word comes from عز"=
3azza=to love to like???for sure it has sth in comoon with word عزيزseeing how you translated

In fact بيعز، بعزو ...etc. means to have a speacial place in heart but necessarily to be loved. It might be respect also.

and foro رف I delayed it for later... may be in 2 hours, because I want to check sth.

i translated it and رف as a verb means to flutter,to flap

That's what i've got :

رف جـ رفوف : جَمَاعَةٌ منَ الطَّيْر - flight

حمامة جـ الحمام : Pigeon

So I guess the verse could be translated as :

بلغ أهلي وولادي مشتقلون رفّ الحمام
Inform / tell my folks and sons that flights of pigeons miss them

Yes that's true نادي as noun means club.

But here it's an imperative for the verb ينادي do notice the begining of the song he spoke to the منادي the one who calls/ do the act of call: ينادي

I forgot to answer your question on how to write وصلي in a correct way... I think it should be written as وصلي but with shadda ّ over the lam.
so it'll be وصلي السلام.

نادي كان عنا في ساحة/الساحة نلعب فيه في زمان sa7a is masculine so the used pronoun should be masculine fihi

وللجملة الأخرى
ونادي كانت حول بيوتون حلوي أشجار الرمان Nadi is masculine, but note how كان has تاء التأنيث
ونادي كان حول بيوتون... حلوي اشجار الرمان

The pronounce have changes to match the gender cases.
And for the second sentence... I found it hard to complete the translation with that meaning...

Yes the root of the بتعز is عز and also it's the same for عزيز...
Notice that the word 3zeez doesn't mean love or lover it simply means dear...
You might hear or read service messages as
عزيزنا العميل..... إلخ which means Dear customer...

I am not sure if I can agree with you completely .Let me tell you my opinion.

the verb for flight is طار=يطير(it is used for birds,and also for aeroplane (to take off )etc

so for example when the birds flew away we can say say"العصفور طار"=al-3aSfoor Taara

for me word رف"raffa as a verb doesnt mean "to fly".I am convinced that the best translation for this verb is "to flutter"or concerning birds ("to flap their wings).

My second though for this translation would be "covey of (fluttering birds)

The word "raff"describes not only the action of flying like طار ,but action of using a wings by birds

Thank you Oriee I totally agree with you. But instead of call , should it not be better to translate نادي as exclaim / shout / yell ?

And say in a loud voice : We had a playground that we used to play in the old times

ونادي كانت حول بيوتون حلوي أشجار الرمان
And say in a loud voice : there were pomegranate trees around their pretty (?) houses

george call in itself implies a loud voice, I dont think there is any need for the extra explanation
Also the word 2olha = qolha is spelt wrong in the lyrics I think قولها
