This is a tough one. It's a white guy playing acoustic guitar repeating over and over 'why can't you break, why can't you break down the walls.' It was played in a Scrubs episode (episode 12, season 1 'My Blind Date'). They replaced this song with 'Easy Tonight' by Five For Fighting on the Scrubs DVD and they don't credit the song on imdb.com. The song is also in a Melrose Place episode ('Pushing Boundaries' -Season 1) -it opens the episode after the title sequence. It's not credited in the credits and it's not credited on imdb. The melrose Place episode aired on April 7th, 1993 so the song is definitely from the early 90s. Once you hear the song, you will be as interested in finding the artist and title as I am. There are several posts about this song on Scrubs websites but no-one knows the answer.
