Yes they've banned cassettes of some bands, also police stopped some of hip hop concerts but that was in 95 I think.
They didn't like the lyrics. Their lyrics were very obscene and had many bad lyrics about police men.

They banned some of Parazitii videos . They had and still have many anti-system lyrics. And there are people that don't like them .

The Hip Hop born in Romania after the revolution 1989.And yep was banned,and they have the right to banned.In Hip Hop is spoken bad words,very bad words,also speak about a very bad style of life.Til the Hip Hop born the teenagers was very good control it(they can't wear extravagant haircuts,very short dresses,piercings...).They also can't speak bad about the system(govern).
Now the teenagers follow there own rules,they believe they are the "kings",don't have respect for anything especially old people and the community goods.One rule which was respected was:NO CIGARS AND ALCOHOL FOR MINORS!!!.Now any minor can buy this things easy,very easy.
I am not agree whit this song,the censor is a necessity.

Nere i don't know about ENG Hip Hop but this one from Romania don't speak about true facts always.The romanian Hip Hop discriminate the women,speak about vulgarity,drugs,alcohol....and very rare are speaking the true.

english hip hop is much the same but i still don't agree with censorship. music alone doesn't damage society, though it is symptomatic.

Emo songs and bands----->kids which believe they don't have a future
Hip Hop songs------>kids which believe they are gangsters
The music is the first factor which help you to decide what cloths to wear.I believe that the music that you listen shows you character.The music which you listen can speak for you

NNA they HAVE NO RIGHT TO BAN hip hop. They can speak whatever they like , we have freedom of speech. We're not in communism any more. And it's not rap fault that teenagers are in this way. This is about education , it's their parents fault.
It's true that some teenagers misunderstood (and still are)the message of the rap songs. I've been listening to rap for 12 years and I'm not on drugs or any other things you've said.


And they have the right to talk bad about the system , because it deserve it .Those thieves that govern our country are worse than all the rap songs.

NNA again, music appears as a part of the sub-culture, it doesn't create it. banning it or censoring it achieves nothing. i've been listening to rap for about 10 years too and i'm not on drugs or in a gang. i like some emo music too, but i don't cut myself, or believe that i have no future.

Some of the rap song do have women discrimination and I don;t listen to them. If they thought that every woman is a ***** , I don't think they wouldn't have got married and have children. Not everything they say in their lyrics is true

No I don't find myself in those lyrics, and I don't agree with them. Like I've said I don't agree with many of Ombladon lyrics , and are songs that I can't listen because of the bad language.
