    well i think walet would mean : went away

    like when we say in fus7a : ولى الأدبار

    dunno , just guessing

    Yes Adel you guessed well , walet/nweli is from the verb walla in arabic , but it means to become :

    For ex : Welit mo3alma fi el ATL
    Meaning : I became a teacher in ATL

    Ya3ni in general it means to do something from now on that you weren't used to do before .

    As for ndir , yes it means I do [From the arabic verb : أدار - يدير which means to manage]
    Manish = I'm not
    Dayirha = doing it
    Bi = on
    al3ani = purpose [ derived from the arabic verb : أعني ]

    So it's like : لا أعني ذلك
    .. وذاك الذي لا يرى غيره
    ولا يجد الخير خيـرا ً اذا لم يكن خيره
    فــــــــراغ .. فـــــراغ

    Welit = to become?

    وليت نهدر غير عليك
    nhdar ghyar 3layk = talk other than you
    walyt? Like a fi3l? sorry!

    واخا نزعف نولي ليك
    I think I asked this on another thread, or maybe I'm starting to confuse words...

    wa5a = ma3 ino?
    nwali lek = i'm guessing this is another form of walet? nwali = nro7lik?

    Merci

    ya salam you are a fast learner!!

    Well, I guess its only sa3ba for us, but come on all their words are derived from fus7a, and they use classical words like ma zal, wa lakin etc, whereas na7na we made up our own words!

    t7eb t3alam darja ma3aya??

    El lahja lmasriya tani ( also ) s3iba bezaf Adel ! ( Well at least for me )

    Yes welit = to become or to do something you're not used to do [Shami = sert]

    For ex : Welit nahder 3'ir 3lik
    Means : Sert be7ki illa 3annik

    I'm not quiet sure about wa5a since it's maroccan but I guess it's like when you say in shami Ma before saying something

    For ex : Wa5a nez3ef nweli lik
    Means : Ma ana lamma bez3al berja3lik

    Nweli lik here means come back to you
