For it (the language) at Putna the bell sounds(Putna=the place wear is the sword of one of the greatest kings of Moldova Ştefan cel Mare)

For it the Carpati(romanian mountains) are strong

For it is warm the (stove,hmm i don't understand this part,maybe something poetic :P)

The first time when God cried through stars
El a plâns peste ţară cu lacrima limbii noastre
He cried over the country whit the tear of our language

I don't understand very good the poem and isn't impressive at all

Its the national anthem of Moldova. The Moldovans have reinforced their distinction from being Romanian by dropping Deşteaptă-te, române! which used to also be their national anthem. Linguistically, there's no difference between Moldovan and Romanian - same but there is a cultural distance that is similar to that between the Austrians and the Germans despite a shared history which is important by different national experiences.

Well let me tell you that is NOOOOOOOO difference between REPUBLICA MOLDOVA and ROMANIA.Wanna repeat this part NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO difference !!!
If you are able to give me just a case in which is a difference between Moldovians and Romanian people (despite that they know russian language) please tell it to me!!!

Moldovans consider themselves to be Romanians, when they're asked what their language is they say "Romanian". no?

Well they speak the romanian language (every1 of them) and the official language of there country is Romanian language.IS it true that they learn russian language also in school and also that Russian have more influence in Republica Moldova than Romania,Republica Moldova is a communist country and this form of governmental is a russian topic.

They consider themselves Moldovans. They have a long history going back to the Moldovan principality of Stephan The Great.

There is no great enthusiasm to merge with Romania.

And this is underscored by Moldovans electing a few times a Communist-dominated government in a free election. This has never happened in Romania since 1989.

So the differences are real despite a shared language.

You live in Rebublica Moldova???
Let me tell you that Rebublica Moldova was a part of Moldova(from Romania).As Bucovina.Bucovina was under Russian comand also,but at the end it returned to romania.

I don't know about this.At the moment romanian politic sucks a lot,i don't if there system is as bad as romanian's.

I've told you that Rebublica Moldova is under Russian influence.I know what was the communism in romania.I believe that Rebublica Moldova is leaded from Moscow and not Chisinau.(do not criticizes me for this thought).Don't forget the KGB stories and fairy tales

There is no ****ing difference man.We share the same customs.traditions,language,character,history,name ,and possible dreams.

Alexei Mateevici, a renowned Moldovan poet, wrote it. Alexandu Cristea composed the music.

It is a hymn to the Romanian language but Romanian is mentioned nowhere in the poem, perhaps the reason it was chosen as the Moldovan national anthem:

S-a trezit din somn de moarte

Let me tell you that no Moldovean would not say bad words about a romanian cause he would say bad words about him.
I live in Suceava which is a city very near Rebublica Moldova,at my highschol wear a lot of Moldoveans,They have there domicile in Moldova but they come in Romania for study.They have a diffident accent just because they learn russian language which put more accent on vowels.

I wouldn't think so. They still consider themselves a different country but they want fraternal bonds to Romanians in the same way Austrians relate to the Germans. They want their independence but view Romania as a fraternal country.
