New beginnings of a song??

I wrote a little something in about 10 minutes. It is really just ideas for verses, but there is no chorus. Comment/Critique?


So tell me why is it so hard for me to understand you
Ive done everything possible, what’s left for me to do
No longer a contest, you can’t make a promise
The pinkies are off and there’s no being honest

As if I could see through your eyes
Or I could float in the skies
I ain’t God, so im done with this round and round flight
Im never perfect, so tell me just why is it worth it
I put my heart and soul in it, but why do I learn it

There are kids around the block who don’t take it like this
Because life is so pretty, can’t we just enjoy it
Sooner or later, we can’t sit down and savor
Before the blink of an eye, disappeared, see you later

Why don’t you just tell us we’re all left in the dust
I’ve got people on my shoulders and no one to trust
I can’t stand it, I’m done with, keep your mouth shut
Why decisions still hidden, just rip open the box
