I was feeling sympathy for this poor lonely thread. And I had this strange urge to share this song with someone who checks every thread and/or with whomever chooses to listen. It should be in Slavic section, but everyone I know and like is here. All 4 of you. Kidding.
It's not totally off-topic since this singer is probably my favourite female vocalist from our ex-countries (this band is from Serbia). Her name is Ivana Pavlović. This song has always been really really special to me. And so it's for special people here for whom I have rarely, if ever, been able to return all the kindness to, and certainly not any translations.

Negative- Ni ovde ni tamo // Neither here nor there
Sorry, no video for this either. See, even if my taste at home is unappreciated. )

Sunčan dan u zemlji bez sunca
A sunny day in a land that has no sun
    Pratim trag daleko od puta
I'm following a path far off the road
Ovaj put ići ću dalje nego pre
This time, I'll go further than I have before
    Vidim te samo kad želim
I see you only when I want to
    Želim da mnogo je ređe
I wish it were a lot less often
Više mi nije ni važno kako si
It doesn't matter to me anymore how you are

    Slobodno nastavi dalje
    Freely, keep going/move on
    Ne gledaj ništa za sobom
    Don't look back at anything
Pomalo tužno je samo ako si
It's a little sad only if you are
Kao je ni ovde ni tamo
like I am- neither here nor there
Ako bi voleo da smo zajedno u isto vreme negde mi
If you want us to be together at the same time somewhere, you and I

Prazno mesto kraj mene za tebe
An empty place for you, beside me
    Niko (nikad) neće osvojiti
Nobody will (ever) take it over/conquer it
    Tako blizu a tako daleko
    So near but so far
    Meni trebaće večnost
    I'd need an eternity
    Da se pomirim
    To make peace with this

    Dobro je moglo bi bolje
It's fine, it could be better
    Prođe me vrati se opet
It passes and then comes back to me again
Pomislim možda i tebi tako je, ali
I think maybe it's like that for you too, but

Yes, it should be! Turkish section is the most multilingual forum I guess. :P

Thank you for your kindness and translation partizanka. (I especially liked the pronunciation of her. ) Turkish forum loves you.

I didn't manage to listen to it because "An error occured, please try again later"
And Parti, now it is time to exchange feelings, you should understand how we feel when we see that a song has already been translated

Why show me this? You want to hurt me? Have I ever said this to you? "Sorry Silver, I don't need your translation; it's already been done?" Hmm, actually you've said this to me before though.

Besides mine is better cos it was done with love and affection for my friends.

hm... what's going on here? You shouldn't be hurt if a song has already been translated which in this case was done by me (the translation I mean)

And your translation is good partizanka. Maybe I could use some words to edit mine In any case, a translation of Serbian song is off topic in here lol

Hey Spring...did Silver Moon tell you to come here?
I read your translation after he posted it...very nice. (I didn't mean that my translation was "better" as a translation of course, except that I had done it with maybe a different reason so my heart was in the translation")
Actually there's words you chose in your translation that I'm thinking I would use to edit mine.
And no, I'm not hurt that it's already been translated of course, just a bit confused as to why he thought he needed to tell me that. And why he searched for another translation.
And yes, I've already been "lectured" about being off-topic.

To show that it has already been done, how I dare hurt you! I personally feel bad when I see it already done after doing it myself, making an effort.
No, you never did and you wouldn't ask for a trans. if it was already done, because you can find them on your own
What I said to you before?

Of course not. I get a notification on my site when someone links it here lol

But anyways... I couldn't read all the posts around here and the point of my intrusion was to tell you to be nice to each other

I'm sorry larosa, this thread is only for rock vocalists.
Of course, kidding. Thanks for your additions! I have not heard ebru gundes before (I guess she only appeals to Tunisians. )

I haven't heard anything new from him except for "Sevdanin Son Vurusu" but I thought his voice still sounded nice. What would be your opinion of the best song to show his voice is fantastic? (Sincerely asking; I haven't heard most of his songs.)

Not only this song, but just that's the only one from his newest cd that I have heard, I think.
Actually when I read your list, I felt like almost Tarkan-fan cos I know about half of the songs you listed.
From them I like the most Olurum Sana and Sikidim.
I know also Ikimizin Yerine, Salina Salina Sinsice, etc... but I haven't heard Unutmamali, Sen Baskasin, or Unut Beni. I'll give them a try and let you know. (There is one slow song of his that has grown on me and nice vocals- it's called "Gitme"...have you heard it?)

I like to oppose everyone, as Milena says. But really, thanks for those recommendations...I quite liked them.
