I Say I Believe
Hey everyone! I just wrote something up for my wife as an anniversary gift. Let me know what you think!
Walking through life outside my world,
I find myself standing alone.
I look up to find a new sign in the light,
Your face shining right through my front door,
And I say I believe,
I believe in you.
I’m spending my time hoping, praying,
To hear your voice sing on the phone,
Tell me you love me, that I’m still alive,
It’s OK, I can hurry on home.
Now I say I believe,
I believe in me.
There’s no faith in this world,
No exceeding demands,
No discouraging favor
Brought forth from their hands
To remove this from me,
Tear away from my heart
This unknown sense of hope.
No, it won’t fall apart.
No, I
Won’t walk away from you.
I won’t
Give into their regret.
No, I’ll
Fight ‘cause I know I’m right.
I won’t
Ever let you forget
I say I believe.
Have you ever seen blood in the moonlight? It appears quite black. Have you ever seen spiders crawling on the graves?
