Default Safet Isovic – Bosno moja poharana

    BOSNO MOJA POHARANA

    Bosno moja poharana

    Zemljo moja neorana
    cetir' ljeta nesijana
    (2x)

    Stajo moja bez volova

    Kuco moja bez zidova
    stara majko bez sinova
    (2x)

    Mjesto brace i sestara

    Sloboda me razgovara
    i nove mi pute stvara
    (2x)

    Vratimo se nasoj Bosni

    Da dusmane izgonimo
    nasu Bosnu obnovimo

    Da dusmane pogazimo
    nasu Bosnu obnovimo

    Da se u njoj veselimo

    Da se bratski zagrlimo
    (2x)

    Da se Bosnom ponosimo

    BOSNO MOJA POHARANA
    My devastated Bosnia

    Bosno moja poharana
    My devastated Bosnia

    Zemljo moja neorana
    My not plowed country
    cetir' ljeta nesijana
    for four years not sowed
    (2x)

    Stajo moja bez volova
    My stable without oxes

    Kuco moja bez zidova
    My house without walls
    stara majko bez sinova
    old mother without sons
    (2x)

    Mjesto brace i sestara
    Location of brothers and sisters

    Sloboda me razgovara
    Freedom is talking
    i nove mi pute stvara
    and gives me new paths
    (2x)

    Vratimo se nasoj Bosni
    Go back to our Bosnia

    Da dusmane izgonimo
So we could cast out enemies
    nasu Bosnu obnovimo
    renew our Bosnia

    Da dusmane pogazimo
So we could run over enemies
    nasu Bosnu obnovimo
    renew our Bosnia

    Da se u njoj veselimo
So we could be happy in it

    Da se bratski zagrlimo
    So we could hug brotherly
    (2x)

    Da se Bosnom ponosimo
So we could be proud to Bosnia

*I'm not quite sure is the word devastated good enough for the meaning of the song.. If someone has some other suggestion, let me know!

Isnt it instead, instead of location?

    Naprimjer:
Instead of my brothers and sister
    Freedom is talking to/with me
And is creating new paths for me

well, I was thinking about it, but he's singing about Bosnia, so I thought he's saying that it's the land/country/place of his brothers and sisters because that line isn't united with the lines that comes next..
but I don't know how that song sounds so I can really tell what's right!

I think the most appropriate translation for "mesto" would be "location" or "place" in this case. Anyhow – here is the song – if it may help you:

    A hvala na pomoći!

Mislila si: mesto nečega = umesto nečega

Sloboda me razgovara----> Could be this: Freedom makes me talk , freedom makes me thinking, or I now speak/think alone in my freedom (because there are no brothers/sisters to talk with, she/he has to talk with "air", with herself/himself) and she-he thinks what to do next.

I think in Macedonian "razgovara me" means talk with me

Here is my version, for example:

BOSNO MOJA POHARANA /Bosnia, my robbed land!

    Bosno moja poharana
    Bosnia, my robbed land

    Zemljo moja neorana
    My unploughed land
    cetir' ljeta nesijana
    for four years not sowed
    (2x)

    Stajo moja bez volova
    My stable without oxes

    Kuco moja bez zidova
    My house without walls
    stara majko bez sinova
    old mother without sons
    (2x)

    Mjesto brace i sestara
    Instead of brothers and sisters
    Sloboda me razgovara
    Freedom talks with me
    i nove mi pute stvara
    and opens up new possibilities
    (2x)

    Vratimo se nasoj Bosni
    Lets return to our Bosnia
    Da dušmane izgonimo
    to chase our archenemies out
    nasu Bosnu obnovimo
    to renew our Bosnia

    Da dusmane pogazimo
    to run override archenemies
    nasu Bosnu obnovimo
    to renew our Bosnia
    Da se u njoj veselimo
    To rejoice there
    Da se bratski zagrlimo
    (to be) brotherly hugged
    (2x)

    Da se Bosnom ponosimo
    Bosnia to makes us proud

It makes sense, it is better with "Instead of Brothers and sisters, freedom...", since probably his brothers and sisters already are dead.
Kako se piše "it makes sense" na srpskom?

    Ima smisla - I guess
At least in cro is like that
''Glupost je sama u sebe zaljubljena i njeno je samoljublje bezgranično.''

    ''Siamo niente senza fantasie''

''Наверное мне место на луне, но страшно оставаться в темноте''
