    Ofra Haza
she was an angel on earth...and as I keep saying...if there's heaven she must be singing to her peers....beautiful creature...divine talent...huge loss.

    We would make love

    There was one
    who knew to do magic
    who knew to say words
that colored the sun in blood

I remember in full moon nights
    you would come to me
    not accidentally
    doped
    unconscious crazy
we would fall to the floor
    fly to the ceiling
    we would make love
    loveeeeeeeee

    we had good (time)
    we had bad
    we were together
we left no (nothing to ) choice

I remember in full moon nights
    you would come to me
    not accidentally
    doped
    unconscious crazy
we would fall to the floor
    fly to the ceiling
    we would make love
    love

As much as I respect the cultural added value of the Eurovision...I'm afraid it has ruined the uniqueness of our musical legacy....our as in EVERYBODY'S....everyone is trying to HIT the formula and take home the prize....this is silly.......we'll never be enriched musically by this attitude...there's no true connection...
I guess this is why I loved the Serbian song.......
I'm messing up with my posts....putting Knesiat Hasechel in Eurovision lovers and speak about the contest here......
I hope the ATL police doesn't catch me and put me in ATL detention.......
    anyway........
    Here's more good Israeli music.........

    Maya Avraham .....Why

    [B3-HBpK3oCU]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3-HBpK3oCU[/video]

    night shines on me
and in the streets of the city
    among silent roads
    I stand
    again, no reason is given
    to stay with you
tell me , reveal what else are you hiding ?

    Why isn't there anyone
    long nights between us
and why does the pain refuse
    to leave both of us
    why isn't there anyone
    nighst have washed us
and why is the pain refusing to go

It's hard for me to see now
    If it may in vain
without this distance, and if we only try
why? what are you hiding again? tell me

    why isn't there anyone?

I'm dying to know how non Israelis get to know our music and love it....it looks like magic...
I feel we're at the end of the world in terms of music...each time I get to know someone who appreciates our music ...it really baffles me ....

From Deapths - Idan Raichel Project

From deapths I've called to you , come to me
upon your arrival, the light will return to my eyes
unfinished, the touch of your hand is not leaving
that will come and light up to the sound of your laughter

From deapthes I've called to you, come to me
in front of a moon that shines your way back to me
were spread and melted to the touch of your hand
in your ears (I) whisper , ask

Who is calling you tonight? - listen
Who sings out loud to you - to your window
Who puts his soul for you to be happy?
Who would lend a hand and build your home?

Who would give his life, will put them below you?
Who like ashes will live by your feet?
Who will love you more than all your lovers?
Who will save you from every bad spirit?
    From deapths....

Who like ashes will live by your feet?
Who will love you more than all your lovers?
Who will save you from every bad spirit?

At the end of the world in terms of music ?! No, who told you that?! You are extraordinary.
The Non-Israelis got it from the Israelis, logical isn't it? (I got it like that )

Interesting...when I go abroad (mostly for music) I'm interested in local culture and music and hardly ever speak about mine....
I know many Israelis who travel for long periods of time ...mostly to India , Africa and South America (young men and women who finish army service go on the Big Trip ....to these areas) they educate the natives about Israeli music....you can find Indians and who sing whole heartedly Shlomo Arzi....when I see this on documentaries...I crack up ....
Where are you from Astraea ?

Ofratko has ball in her court. She is running and aiming for the basket...... Shooting the ball And she has missed the basket

First of all I'm terrible ball player Then secondly there isn't such thing as the end of the world... The world is soo connected that it's rather scary! But still Bateli motek even your national anthem is absolutely beautiful. I discovered Ofra Haze when I was 12 and since then I love her songs. She had the most incredible voice. Why do I love Hebrew music or Arabic music or Serbian music...Well it is as to explain love itself. Sometimes when I listen this music I feel like I can touch heaven it is this feeling when you know that you don't understand a word but you still can understand with your heart what is the song about. The truth is that Hebrew music has certain sadness in it.It's this longing for love, home, freedom & pain of so many centuries. it does fascinate me in a way. Cause even with this sadness and longing there is certain strength!I even like Klezmer music! Jeez I do hope you understand me... I'm a bit difficult to comprehend at times

Boy ..do I understand you.......the only reason I engage with Hebrew music is YOU GUYS....
I listen ONLY to Greek music.
I love a handful of Israeli artists and respect them...but I have ears only for Greek....so I do understand you.
It's just surprising each time I meet Hebrew music fans....
The phrase "end of the world" is to pinpoint the tinyness (no idea if this is a word) of our country...a microscopic dot on the map, smaller than New Jersey
.........I appreciate the openness and lack of boundaries due to Internet communication.....
Anyway ....It was fun getting to "know" you ...and please...if you ever need help with locating and/or translating ...feel FREE to ask.
Nice sporty intro to your post.........being a former Maccabi Tel Aviv fan I'm happy to see you chose BASKETball and not other ball"y" sport ....
So...just like with Astraea...where are you from?
lack of emoticons is due to attaching your reply which is filled with them ...so here.............------------ big smile -------------
